Nate

Nate was born and raised in Hawaii– he moved to the mainland for college and since then has always had at least one foot in the restaurant and bar industry. After a decade at Marché, he has learned about farmer’s market-driven sourcing and seasonality from his colleagues in the kitchen, a focus he’s brought to designing cocktail menus. In his other life, he is a math professor–and he loves the math involved in the recipes and ratios of the bartending trade. He’s an active educator as well, teaching classes about vermouth, amaraos and absinthe at Provisions.
